Imagine that you are crashing over a friend's house on his couch. Around 6:30 in the morning, police officers use a key to execute a no knock search warrant on this apartment and within 9 seconds you have been shot twice in the chest and once in the hand with your life force pouring
out of your body, while indifferent police officers stand guard. Amir Locke, a 22 year old black man
who was a legal gun owner was murdered, his dreams of a music career extinguished and his
family is left in anguish. Is banning no knock search warrants the answer? Is more training needed?
This may make some difference, but unless we get to the root, anti-black racism, this will continue to
happen. How can we stop this? Answering this question will require many minds and understanding of what has worked or not worked in the past. Also, it will undoubtedly require sacrifice and determination to make sure those responsible are held accountable and to agitate, agitate, agitate.
