Western Media Exposes Their Racism in Ukrainian Coverage

Understanding the racist ideology that affects every aspect of thought and behavior begins with language. The words that are used to describe certain human beings vis-a-vis their country of origin, ethnicity or more bluntly, the amount of melanin in their skin, reveals the presuppositions' inherent logic. You can see the cognitive dissonance in their eyes when they grapple to understand 'white' immigrants who reflect their self image. Racism in one sense comes down to ascribing to one group - so-called 'white' or European populace one set of characteristics and the opposite descriptors to African and Middle Eastern populations. The assumptions are subtle in some cases and because they are so intricately interwoven into society they are taken for granted. Of course, the European refugees are better than those other 'ones'. It's obvious!.How do you create societies where racism is embedded into the fabric? By propagandizing the world with anti-black rhetoric in print, radio, television and now social media. White supremacy's global infrastructure operates with of the goal of maintaining its hegemony and oppressing those populations who it deems inferior. Otherizing people made in the image of God, allows some to justify maltreatment or ignore it altogether. Making negative assumptions about those you don't know, only reveals an intrinsic ignorance and when those in elected or appointed offices or in positions of authority have these biases all types of atrocities can occur, whether it is Nazi Germany under Hitler, the Congo because of King Leopold of Belgium, Apartheid in South Africa and United States called Jim Crow, or present day Apartheid in Palestine. Is conflict inevitable or is peace a possibility? It seems given the history of the world the former is true. However, I am looking forward to a world without strife, hatred, or judgment, where righteousness dwells and the lion will lay down with the lamb.
